AST SpaceMobile Stock Under Pressure: SpaceX Competition, ViaSat Dispute AST SpaceMobile Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTS) stock recovers after a morning decline. Investors are weighing intensifying competition from Space Exploration Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX), broader weakness across space stocks, a regulatory spectrum challenge from ViaSat, Inc. (NASDAQ:VSAT) and a pending securities class action. The Nasdaq is down 0.08% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.49%. On Thursday, space-related companies traded lower, potentially in sympathy with Carpenter Technology Corp (NYSE:CRS) after its earnings report. A sell-off following SpaceX’s post-earnings rally is also weighing on peers. That kind of separation typically signals persistent distribution rather than a simple dip-buying setup. The moving-average structure reinforces the bearish bias: the 20-day SMA is below the 50-day SMA, and the stock has been in a Death Cross regime since July (50-day SMA below the 200-day SMA). On momentum, RSI is the cleanest read right now: at 26.51, it’s oversold, suggesting the sell-off is stretched and may be due for a bounce or at least a pause.
